I am delighted to announce my latest book coming in my birthday month March 2025.

 For centuries, Black women have been subjected to narrow and harmful beauty standards that glorify whiteness and devalue Black features, such as dark skin, kinky hair, and curvy bodies.  But  reclaiming our identity as Black women is far more complex and profound than just the external expression of wearing an afro, or any particular hairstyle.  Self-love for us is about the freedom to choose how to express ourselves without feeling pressured to conform to any particular ideal,  Empowerment comes from making choices, regardless of external pressures.    Whether that means wearing an afro, braids, locs, a weave, or straightened hair—our hair does not define our worth or the depth of our connection to our Blackness.

To fully embody radical self-love, we must also honor the sacred aspects of our bodies. This is why I have created a line of Yoni Care products under the Awakened Essence banner.
